Annual leave rules in Korea
- First year: 1 paid day for each month of full attendance, up to 11 days.
- After 1 year with 80%+ attendance: 15 days.
- Every 2 further years: +1 day, up to a maximum of 25 days.
Leave not used within its one-year window is generally paid out as unused-leave pay, unless the employer formally promoted its use. When you leave the company, unused days must be paid with your final wages. These rules apply equally to foreign employees at workplaces with five or more employees.
