2026 parental leave pay

The floor is ₩700K a month. Since 2025 you get the full amount during leave (the deferred portion was abolished), and each parent can take 1 year, or up to 1 year 6 months if requirements are met.
6+6 parents' parental leave
When both parents take parental leave together (or in turn) for a child under 18 months, the first 6 months pay 100% of ordinary wage with caps rising to ₩2.5M, 2.5M, 3M, 3.5M, 4M and 4.5M a month (for each parent).
How to apply
Apply on Work24 every month starting 1 month after leave begins. Your company must submit a parental leave confirmation first.

Yes, with 180+ days of employment insurance coverage. When the contract ends, pay stops then too.
