The "multiplier" is the pay rate relative to hourly wage. Of the 1.5× for night work, 1.0 is the base wage for those hours; if the night hours are scheduled hours already in your monthly pay, you get only the premium (0.5) extra.

Work between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. adds a 50% night premium. Workplaces under 5 employees pay no premium.

Premium pay rules (Labor Standards Act, Art. 56)

TypeRulePremium
OvertimeOver 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week50% of ordinary wage
Night work10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day50%
Holiday work up to 8 hoursWork on weekly rest days or public holidays50%
Holiday work over 8 hoursThe part over 8 hours on a holiday100%

Premiums can stack. For example, overtime continuing past 10 p.m. gets overtime 50% + night 50%, so you're paid double the hourly wage.

Workplaces with fewer than 5 employees

Premium pay rules don't apply at workplaces with fewer than 5 regular employees, so you get just the hourly wage (100%) for the hours worked.
