Always hide personal info before posting
When posting photos to secondhand marketplaces, communities or blogs, check they don't show the following.
- People's faces (portrait rights), children's photos
- License plates, home addresses, shipping labels
- ID numbers, account numbers, card numbers, phone numbers
- Names and profiles of people in chat screenshots
Mosaic vs. black box
Research shows weak mosaics or blurs can sometimes be reversed. For sensitive info like resident registration or card numbers, it's safest to cover it fully with a black box.
Photos are never uploaded to a server — they're processed only in your browser. Safe even for personal photos, IDs and documents.
